I serve on the Board of Directors of The California Garden Project, dba Hortus Californica, a nonprofit organization based in Sacramento which is building a world class destination botanical garden for California's capital region, and which is working through community initiatives to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving the rich horticultural heritage of the Golden State.

I believe in bringing a message of hope to those who struggle with mental health issues and supporting those who have lost friends and family to suicide.
